Personal & small group training — Artarmon, Sydney
Strength that holds up. Mobility that lasts.
One coach, two ways to train. I blend calisthenics — bodyweight strength built on control, patience and proper progressions — with traditional strength training, built for people who want to get properly strong and still move well for decades to come.
01 — The studio
One coach. Two ways to train.
No rotating staff and no franchise script — every session, whether it's a group of five or just you, is coached by me directly.
Small Group Training
Groups of up to five, matched roughly for level. You get real coaching attention, a bit of shared momentum, and a lower price point than 1:1.
- Up to 5 people, 60-minute sessions
- Programmed around the group's goals
- Good starting point if you're new to structured training
1:1 Personal Training
Fully exclusive 60-minute sessions, programmed around your body, your schedule and whatever you're working toward — a first pull-up, a pain-free back, a comeback from injury.
- Just the two of us, 60 minutes
- Programming adjusted week to week
- Best fit for specific or sensitive goals

03 — Method
Calisthenics control meets traditional strength.
Every program sits on three pillars. The mix shifts depending on what you're training for, but none of them get dropped.
Traditional strength training
Barbell, dumbbell and machine work — squats, deadlifts, presses — loaded and progressed properly. This is the load your mobility and skill work are actually built around.
Bodyweight skill work
Calisthenics progressions — handstands, pull-ups, holds and presses — built patiently, in order, with control before load.
Range you can actually use
Mobility work tied to the strength and skill work, not bolted on afterward — so the range you build is range you can load.
04 — Who it's for
Built for two kinds of client.
Busy adults in their 30s–50s
Somewhere in your 30s or 40s, things stop bouncing back the way they used to — a stiff back after a long week at a desk, a shoulder that niggles when you reach overhead. You're not chasing a look. You want strength and mobility that actually hold up, without sessions eating into a week that's already full.
People just starting calisthenics
You're curious about calisthenics — bodyweight strength trained through proper, structured progressions — but have never done one before. No experience needed, no ego required — everything starts from wherever you're actually at.
05 — Coach
Trained by me, every time.
I'm Will, the owner and sole coach at LIFT. Studio. Years of lifting weights left me stiffer and less mobile, not stronger where it actually counted. Mobility work was what turned that around, and from there I found bodyweight strength training: control before load, proper progressions, nothing rushed. It's the reason I still move and train pain-free today, ten years into coaching.
LIFT. Studio exists to bring that same approach to clients — strength and mobility work built to last, not just leave you sore. I coach every session myself. No other trainers, no handoffs, no rotating staff.
What I love most is the fundamentals — taking someone through the basics and watching them realise they're capable of something they never thought they could do. Those small, honest wins are what keep me coaching, ten years in.

08 — FAQ
Common questions.
I've never done calisthenics or strength training before — can I still start?
Yes — most people who start with me have zero background in structured training. Everything begins from wherever you're actually at, with progressions built for beginners, not advanced athletes.
What's a pull-up progression, and will I actually get my first pull-up?
A pull-up progression breaks the movement into manageable steps, building the strength and control you need before attempting a full pull-up rather than just testing yourself against one you can't do yet. Most beginners who stick with it see real progress within a few months.
Do you teach handstands?
Yes — handstand training is part of the skill work in most programs. Like pull-ups, it's taught as a progression: building support, balance and control step by step, not just throwing you upside down.
I'm not flexible at all — is mobility training still for me?
That's exactly who mobility work is for. Most clients start stiff and inflexible — the training is what builds the range, not a prerequisite for joining.
Small group or 1:1 — which is right for me?
Small group suits most people well — real coaching attention with a bit of shared momentum. 1:1 is a better fit if you're managing an injury, working toward something specific, or want fully individualised programming.
How much does personal training cost at LIFT. Studio?
